The Washington Community Development Center is excited to introduce the Washington Leadership Academy!  This 25-week program is open for all grade levels and is designed to equip students with essential life skills and empower them as future leaders.  The Academy will begin at the Washington Community Center, 1900 Marietta St.-Texarkana, AR, after school on Monday, November 13th.  The students will meet three days a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) from 4:30pm-6:30pm with a meal provided.  The program will run through the end of the school year and will also include a summer project excursion. 

Program Overview:

•    Leadership Skills, Practical Life Skills, Diversity, Biblical Studies, Digital Proficiency, and Culture

•    Community Engagement, Spiritual Growth, and Real-World Experiences
•    Three 2-hour weekly meetings

•    iPads and leadership shirts for participants

•    $1000 scholarship opportunity

•    Closing award banquet

•    Summer project excursion

Application Process: 
Students and parent/guardian fill out application and agreement forms. 
Interviews will be scheduled to discuss commitment and expectations.
