Texarkana League of Champion’s mission is to help young people excel in the classroom, on the field, and in life through youth sports. To create greater opportunities for our youth while alleviating the hardships and financial burdens associated with youth sports. Our goal is to surround student-athletes with high-character men and women dedicated to building each other up. We aspire to create a winning attitude on the field and in the classroom through personal responsibility, accountability, and integrity.
The Literacy Council of Bowie and Miller Counties
Founded in 1986 through the Texarkana Public Library, the Literacy Council has served as the area’s leading community education center helping thousands of residents earn their GEDs, improve their ability to find work, and enhance job performance. Students can learn a diverse set of knowledge and skills including math, reading, technology, foreign language, and test preparation, among other subject areas. All classes, programs, and services are completely free and are fully funded by the kindness of those in the Texarkana community, along with grants.
Service United Families of America -AR
A passionate organization to help and add value to the community. United Families of America serve the Miller, Lafayette, and Hempstead counties and provide much-needed meals to the community in 3 ways. They prepare foods to feed the homeless, they provide nutritious meals to anyone 18 and younger both at the Washington Community Development Center and at various locations in the neighborhood where food insecurities are most prevalent, and they provide monthly meal boxes to those in need.
Acclimation Change Transformation & Sustainability (ACTS)
ACTS forces a collaborative community relationship to esteem and restore at-risk juveniles’ and offenders’ minds, bodies, and spirits.
ACTS will provide invaluable education, mentoring, and leadership for parolees, juveniles, and at-risk children scheduled for release within 90 days. The system utilizes a well-trained team of licensed clinical social workers, trained facilitators, nondenominational clergy, and the Texarkana, Arkansas, parole board. The collaborative will individualize a re-acclimation program.
The Scholars
The Scholars’ mission is to provide entrepreneurship programs for boys and girls aged 9-18. To help increase academic skills and build entrepreneurship experiences and skills. The goal is to support school-aged students in gaining skills and knowledge for success in the world of business.

As the leading youth organization, we provide children an opportunity to reach their fullest potential through our wide range of services and activities. We offer them the support they need in order to ensure they grow, learn, and thrive within their community.
Hope for Texarkana
Our mission at Hope for Texarkana is to empower individuals, families, and communities by giving hope to those in need. We desire to see the quality of their lives enhanced in every way. We believe it takes a community working together to provide food, resources, mentorship, and educational opportunities to create transformations for those who need support.
Package of Love
A team of like-minded individuals working together to reach out, serve and provide services to assist children from birth to 18 years of age including their families whenever, wherever, and however we can. We also include the homeless and any neighbors living and surviving on the streets. Our goal is to support and proved them with a helping hand for them to be able to accomplish their mission in life, regardless of race, color, and ethnicity.

A local non profit organization whose mission is to “give back to the community our officers protect and serve,” while also providing support for area law enforcement agencies. The ultimate goal is to help combat the negative stereotypes sometimes associated with officers and their families by giving back to the communities and supporting our officers who daily walk the thin blue line.
